Hiram Students Snag Biomedical Prize
Two Hiram computer science majors were among 277 who earned recognition for their poster presentations on molecular and computational biology research at the Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students (ABRCMS) 2012 held November 7-10 in San Jose, CA. Eric Wheeler, '14, and Justin Wisniewski, '13
won prizes for their presentations on a software package they created that organizes and summarizes metagenomic biological data.

Hiram College Awarded Grant from National Endowment for the Humanities
Hiram College has been awarded a $75,000 challenge grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities to support the institution's respected community reading program. The program reaches broad and diverse audiences throughout Northeast Ohio and is directed by Hiram's Lindsay-Crane Center for Writing and Literature. The grant will also support a humanities scholar-in-residence, thereby providing new opportunities for scholarly reflection and research through interaction with faculty and staff.

Hiram Night Out - Great Lakes Brewery

By March, 80% of the world's population crowds a 150-mile stretch, the largest gathering of cranes anywhere in the world!
