Alumni Volunteer Day is Right Around the Corner

Alumni Volunteer Day is less than a month away! Join Hiram alumni and friends as we come together in the spirit of giving back to our local community on Saturday, Sept. 10. Hundreds have participated in this important tradition at sites throughout the country. As our thank you for giving back on behalf of Hiram College, all participants receive a Hiram College shirt compliments of the Office of Alumni Relations. Space is limited, so sign up now!

Join Us for Homecoming on Sept. 17

Come cheer on the Terriers and enjoy a day full of fun and festivities at Hiram’s Homecoming on Saturday, Sept. 17. Events include Hiram vs. Kenyon (football) at 1 p.m. and Hiram vs. John Carroll (men’s soccer) at 5:30 p.m. Don’t forget to stop by the alumni hospitality tent from 12 – 4 p.m. for free refreshments and other giveaways. Hall of Fame Welcomes Seven New Members

As part of the 2016 Homecoming festivities on Sept. 17, Hiram College will induct seven new members into the William H. Hollinger Athletic Hall of Fame. These alumni have each made a significant contribution to Hiram’s athletic history and will be honored at the Hall of Fame Brunch and Ceremony prior to the football game. The brunch is open to everyone, so consider joining us as we honor these exceptional former Hiram College athletes.

Women’s Council announces 2016-17 
Encore! Encore! Series

The Women’s Council for Hiram College is pleased to announce this year’s Encore! Encore! series. The series consists of three separate programs, each preceded by a gourmet lunch, which all take place on Saturdays at the Hilton Garden Inn in Twinsburg, Ohio. All funds generated from these events are used for scholarships for Hiram students and for other special projects for Hiram College. The Encore! Encore! series includes:
Back in Time on Saturday, Oct. 1
Hiram College graduate Richard Klein shares stories behind Cleveland’s department stores and discusses his new book “Let’s Go Shopping on the Square”.

Step in Time on Saturday, Dec. 10
Mary Beth Ions will share the sounds of the season with her versatile violin.

Ahead of His Time on Saturday, May 6
Watch one of America’s most celebrated lawyers, Clarence Darrow, come to life through a performance by local actor Richard Figge.

Save the Date – Run For Grace and Andy

The 10th annual Run for Grace and Andy will take place on Saturday, Oct. 1 at Hiram College. The run honors two first-year Hiram students who were killed in a March 2006 accident when their car was struck by a drunken driver. All proceeds from the run and walk benefit the College’s Grace Chamberlain and Andy Hopkins scholarship funds.
