$1 Million Foundation Gift to Support Scholarships and Field Research 
Hiram College received a $1 million cash gift on Dec. 20, 2016 from trustee Paula Frohring, through the Paul and Maxine Frohring Foundation. This is the largest single gift of the Foundation’s nearly $6.5 million total to the College. The $1 million will support scholarships for biology and chemistry students, as well as faculty and student research at Hiram’s 500-plus-acre James H. Barrow Field Station.

Coming Together as One: A Community Dialog about Race 

In honor of Martin Luther King Day, the Hiram College Office of Diversity and Inclusion, in partnership with the Department of Athletics, will present a program titled “Coming Together as One: A Community Dialog about Race.”

Open to the campus community and Hiram alumni, the program is designed to facilitate and encourage active discussion regarding current social issues involving diversity and inclusion.

Alumni Executive Board Seeks New Members
The Hiram College Alumni Executive Board is now accepting applications for the 2017-2018 class. The Board meets on campus three times per year and members serve up to three consecutive two-year terms. Visit the button below for more information.

Bread & Soup Returns 
Hiram’s Bread & Soup dinners return for 2017. A campus tradition since 1983, Bread and Soup nights bring Hiram students, faculty, staff and community members together to share a simple meal in an effort to raise awareness of food insecurity and raise funds for local hunger relief organizations. One dollar from each meal will go to a local charity.

Tickets are $6 and can be purchased at the door. Bread and Soup takes place every Thursday night from Jan.12  - March 2 in Dix Dining Hall on the second floor of the Kennedy Center. 

Basketball Reunions

Calling all Basketball alumni! Come back to Hiram Hill for a friendly game and to reconnect with former teammates and current players.


The Women’s Basketball Alumni Game and brunch will be Saturday, Jan. 28 at 10 a.m.


The Men’s Basketball Alumni Game and gathering will be Saturday, Jan. 28 at 3 p.m.

Nominations for 2017 Alumni Awards 

Have you been inspired by one of your fellow alumni? Do you know someone who should be recognized for her or his achievements? Help Hiram College honor alumni who have dedicated themselves to making the world a better place. Awards will be given on June 17 during Alumni Weekend 2017. The deadline for nominations is March 1.
