Hiram’s Intercultural Forum is holding their annual dinner and show on Saturday, February 20. Experience the world at Hiram with a dinner that features dishes from around the world followed by a cultural show in the recently renovated Hayden Auditorium. Have you been inspired by one of your fellow alumni? Do you know someone who should be recognized for her or his achievements? Help Hiram College honor alumni who have dedicated themselves to making the world a better place. Awards will be given on Saturday, June 18 during Alumni Weekend 2016. The deadline for nominations is Friday, March 25.
Hiram is hosting an on-campus summer job and internship fair on Wednesday, March 2. The event is free for employers to attend and will be in the Kennedy Center Bistro from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Employers can register using this link.
Black History Month Lectures at Lake View Cemetery
Three Hiram College faculty members are giving public lectures at Lake View Cemetery in Cleveland on Sundays at 2 p.m. in February for Black History Month. Registration is $5 and the lectures are open to the public.
The Hiram College Gridiron Club is hosting a Beer School Fundraiser at Thirsty Dog Brewery in Akron on Saturday, March 19 from 7 – 10 p.m. The $25 tickets include a brewery tour, Beer School with the brew masters, samples, auctions and raffles, and a diploma.
The Alumni Executive Board (AEB) is Seeking New Members
The AEB is a volunteer peer group representing all Hiram College alumni. AEB members serve a two-year term and work with the Office of Alumni Relations to represent the entire base of Hiram College alumni. Members consider, endorse, and support the College’s strategic initiatives and campaigns. Nominating an outstanding alumnus (including yourself) is easy using the online nomination form. Nominations will be accepted through Thursday, March 25.
Men's Basketball is in the home stretch of their season and is putting together their best season since 2008-09. The Terriers currently own a 15-6 record and are third in the North Coast Athletic Conference with a 9-5 mark. Follow the rest of the Terriers season here.
Women's Basketball was recently presented with a Musial Award in Sportsmanship from the parents of the late Lauren Hill before their game on Saturday, January 30 against Ohio Wesleyan. Read more about the award and the journey of the two teams here.
Mark your calendars for the best weekend of the year. This year's alumni weekend will be June 17-19. Graduating class years ending in "1" and "6" will be celebrating milestone reunions.
