Kids, work, and a startup

Posted By Razan Yasin, Thursday, December 7, 2017

Razan arrived at Hiram from the Middle East at the age of 17. It was her first time being away from her family. In the four years she attended Hiram, her classmates, professors, and Hiram staff became her family. A big credit for her accomplishments to date goes to the Hiram family who gave her the confidence in herself and the 'can do' attitude. She is very proud to be an alumnus of Hiram College.

Since graduating from Hiram, Razan lived in three countries, got married to an awesome husband and have two beautiful children, became a public health professional and advocate, and a certified project management professional. Currently she works with a software company that creates solutions to improve clinical trial sample tracking.

Most recently Razan launched a new startup with her husband Ismail, MaskItUp Inc. The idea of  MaskItUp came about because Ismail and Razan always struggled to find ways to easily fill out pdf forms electronically. and to share personal information with others when they needed to: HR forms, bank information...etc. For them email was just not secure enough to send forms with personal data in them, especially with news every day about cyber attacks and identify theft. MaskItUp is a platform they created to allow people to fill out forms and share information securely, with giving them control over who accesses their information and the ability to revoke access at any time.

Razan and Ismail hope that with MaskItUp, they are able to help everyone share data securely. They are glad to receive any feedback from users on their system. Please do not hesitate to register and provide them feedback.

The website is www.maskitup.com

Hiram Terrier Logo (old-style)

Posted By Randy Neal, Thursday, November 2, 2017

Looking for the old style Hiram College Terrier Logo (from 70's.)  Not the current bull terrier style - more like a wimpy West Highland Terrier...

Anyone got one?

I am now offering food oral immunotherapy (OIT) for individuals with food allergies.

Updated: Thursday, September 14, 2017

I am proud to announce that I am now offering food oral immunotherapy (OIT) for the treatment of food allergies.   This treatment allows individuals with food allergies to consume regular amounts of the allergenic food without any reaction.   It is truly a life changing treatment for people suffering from food allergies.   I am the only board certified allergist in the state of Pennsylvania to offer food oral immunotherapy to peanut, egg, and cow milk.   More foods to be added soon.   For more information, visit my website www.aaswc.com
