Michelle (Hazlett) Mullaly ’94 was appointed Executive Director of Canton Symphony Orchestra in February 2012. Michelle is the fourth Executive Director to be appointed in the Orchestra’s 75 year history. She is also a member of The Rotary Club of Canton, the MacDowell Club of Canton and Friends of 91.3 The Summit. Michelle and her husband Mike live in Bath (a suburb of Akron) with their three boys – Benjamin, Nathan and Ryan.

News from Sarah Chase '02

Sarah Chase '02 will be headed to Asia this spring with Rural Media Group (RMG), which owns and operates America's Most Important Rural Network, RFD-TV and the newly launched agribusiness news channel, RURAL TV. Chase, a seasoned international media consultant, and the Director of International Distribution for RMG will be meeting with her company's new affiliates in Vietnam to discuss programming exchanges and news media content for the US broadcast market. After her time in Hanoi, she then travels on to Bangkok, Thailand for the Asia Media Summit, where she is a featured speaker. Her topic this year is: Media for a Growing World: The Geopolitics of Food, Farming and Media.

After nearly 4 years in London, Chase is now currently based in Frankfurt, Germany where she lives with her husband, the European Bureau Chief for Dow-Jones' MarketWatch.com. Chase looks forward to returning to Hiram this summer for her 10-year reunion!

Matt '09  is currently finishing his MA thesis at School of the Art Institute of Chicago on the work of Japanese architect Kisho Kurokawa. He recently was accepted to Princeton for a PhD in architectural history to continue his work into Japanese postwar architecture.
