Helen and Bill were students when they married the summer of 1950.  It's been a happy marriage.  We've produced five children, all of them married and producing grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Thank you to Hiram for bringing us together and preparing us for life.  We spent our working years as public school teachers.

Harry writes that he is still doing consulting work for MAR Systems to develop a process for removing Mercury, Arsenic, and Selenium from industrial waste waters.  Our three boys (all engineers) have provided us lots of fun with eight grandchildren, of which three are in college.  Sally is still active with the Hiram's Women Council.

Nica Liu '07 has been admitted into the Columbia Business School where she will pursue her MBA.  She starts the program in January, 2012 and will complete the degree in May, 2013.

Update on Brittany Mayle '10

The Crestwood Red Devils has a new head coach leading the girls' basketball program.  A former Crestwood athlete, Brittany Mayle '10 has accepted the coaching position and will lead the team beginning with the 2011-2012 schedule.

Wayne Hill '72 has accepted the position of Associate Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer for the University of Akron.  He also serves as chair of the board of directors for both the Cleveland Foodbank and the Greater Cleveland Film Commission, as well as serving on the boards for the Greater Cleveland Chapter of the American Red Cross.

News of Todd McKenney '86

Todd McKenney '86 resigned his position as State Representative for the State of Ohio.  He has been appointed by the governor as the new judge in Summit County's Probate Court.

Todd served as a judicial law clerk for a U.S. District Court Judge before becoming an ordained pastor at The Chapel in Northeast Ohio.  He was in his first term in the Ohio House representing parts of Summit and Portage counties before accepting his new appointment.

News from Dan Maxson '79

Dan Maxson '79 was inducted into the Euclid Schools Sports Hall of Fame on October 20th.  Dan joined six other inductees that night.  Dan earned his induction for his efforts in coaching.  Mostly remembered as a swimming and softball coach, he also served as a district Athletic Director for 17 years.  Currently retired, he now is an OBEC instructor for the Lake Metroparks, volunteer curator of the local Fairport Lighthouse and local blogger for the News-Herald.
