Book II in my memoir series, The Old Man and Me: has been published.

I've published the second book of the memoir series I'm writing. As before, the chapters are all stand-alone short stories, told with humor and from the perspective of those of us who grew up in the /40s and '50s. Copies (including an audio version of Book I) are available from Amazon. Without the audio book, both books are available as soft cover and e-book editions in virtually every format out there. Kindle, Nook and Midi come immediately to mind. Several stories in this book are set in Hiram College, and they all have the advantage of being true, so some of you will remember them.

I also retired Wednesday, January 7, after 20 years as an Environmental Engineer with DTE Energy in Detroit, Michigan (and about 35 years working at a dozen other jobs and careers).

Best to all of you...

New book by R C Larlham - The Old Man and Me

Posted By Richard C. Larlham, Thursday, September 12, 2013
Updated: Thursday, September 12, 2013

I've written a book about growing up in the '40s and '50s (with a little Hiram tossed in at the end) as a series of time-ordered vignettes. I grew up about 12 miles southwest of Hiram, and never dreamed I could ever attend such a school... much less THAT school. But I did, and there I learned about possibilities. One of those possibilities, it turns out, is this book. The Old Man and Me is the first in a series of three (Hiram plays a much heavier role in Book II), and If you were born after 1960, you're finally going to learn what all those tools on restaurant walls are used for.

The Old Man and Me will be released September 19, 2013
