Come learn about President James A. Garfield and the innovative Garfield Presidency Scholars program with Professor Douglas Brattebo and 20 students from many different academic backgrounds.

Now preparing for its fourth program year, the group has come to know Abraham Lincoln (2014-15), Theodore Roosevelt (2015-16), and Thomas Jefferson (2016-17) by reading books about these leaders, making small-group presentations, interacting with expert speakers, and taking fall and spring study tours to Washington, D.C., and other destinations most central to each president’s life.
