Hilda Patricia Curran '59 is recognized for her many contributions in social work. While active in her chosen field, first in Cincinnati and Columbus later in Brooklyn, New York, and Springfield, Massachusetts, she earned the Master of Arts degree from Ohio State University.

After eight years with the Bureau of Community Services in Lansing, Michigan, the knowledge and background of nearly twenty years enabled her to assume leadership of the offices of Women and Work, created in conjunction with the Department of Labor. Many have already been touched by the extended assistance of this office in its brief two and a half year history.

Her dedication is evident beyond office hours since she serves as a volunteer caseworker for elated social centers. Twice has she been recognized among the "Outstanding Young Women of America" and upon many occasions has she been a contributing member to numerous professional and civic organizations. Her devotion to her profession makes this recognition highly appropriate.
