Anne Vainer '80

Anne Vainer '80 has made a commitment to education and learning.  She received principal certification and her Master of Arts in education from Baldwin-Wallace College, and has worked in the Barberton City School system for 14 years in various capacities, including director of student services and supervisor of special education.

Prior to that, Anne worked at Sagamore Hills Children's Psychiatric Hospital as partial hospital director, education therapist, and principal. She presented at the 2005 Ohio Prevention and Education Conference (Columbus, Ohio), and at Partnering To Prevent Truancy: A National Priority, hosted by the National Department of Juvenile Justice, December 6-8, 2004, in Washington D.C.

  • Employee of the Month (May 1992 and June 1989)

She has published articles in the Cleveland Plain Dealer's "Ohio Right to Read Week" supplement.  She also serves on numerous organizations, including:
