Come Snow Tubing with Hiram
Bring your family and friends to Polar Blast Snow Tubing at Brandywine Ski Resort on Saturday, Jan. 23 from 2:00 - 7:00 p.m. Last year's tubing Terriers made up the largest off-campus alumni event we've ever had. Hiram alumni and their family and friends will enjoy a special price of $15 -- that's $10 off the regular price of admission. We'll also have a hospitality area in the pavilion stocked with snacks and hot chocolate. See you on the slopes!
Have you been inspired by one of your fellow alumni? Do you know someone who should be recognized for her or his achievements? Help Hiram College honor alumni who have dedicated themselves to making the world a better place. Awards will be given on June 18 during Alumni Weekend 2016. The deadline for nominations is March 25.
Friends of the Library Book Sale Scheduled for March 29-April 2
Friends of the Library members get exclusive access to the book sale's preview night on Tuesday March 29 from 6-9 p.m. Read more about becoming a member. Profits from the book sale are used for special projects in the library, such as funding the Friends of the Library Collaboration Station and the library's News Center. The Alumni Executive Board (AEB) is Seeking New Members
The AEB is a volunteer peer group representing all Hiram College alumni. AEB members serve a two-year term and work with the Office of Alumni Relations to represent the entire base of Hiram College alumni. Members consider, endorse, and support the College's strategic initiatives and campaigns. Nominating an outstanding alum (including yourself) is easy using the online nomination form. Nominations will be accepted through March 25.
Hiram College Bread and Soup Night Tradition Revamped for 2016
Hiram College kicks off its annual Bread and Soup Nights this Thursday, Jan. 14 in the Dix Dining Hall from 5-7 p.m. A tradition since 1983, Bread and Soup Nights bring Hiram students, faculty, staff, and community members together to share a simple meal in an effort to raise funds for local hunger relief organizations.
Mark your calendars for the best weekend of the year. This year's alumni weekend will be June 17-19. Graduating class years ending in "1" and "6" will be celebrating milestone reunions.
