4th Annual Hiram Giving Day

On March 1, 1850, Hiram College was founded by Amos Sutton Hayden as the Western Reserve Eclectic Institute. What better way to honor this special day then by joining your fellow alumni and friends to raise as much money as possible on our 4th ANNUAL HIRAM GIVING DAY! All gifts doubled up to a total of $50,000!

As we celebrate Valentine’s Day today, three couples from the Class of 1969 share their Hiram stories as they reflect on how they met and their class’ upcoming Hiram College 50th reunion this summer.

Friends of the Library Book Sale
The 2019 Friends of the Hiram College Library Book Sale will be held April 24-27 in the Pritchard Room of the library.  
Hardback books are priced at $1 each while paperbacks, CDs, DVDs, and other miscellaneous items will be $.50 each.

Wednesday, April 24 and Thursday, April 25: 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. 
Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27:  9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Saturday is bag day! Fill a bag for just $1.

Athletics Update
  • Women’s Basketball played their last home game yesterday against Allegheny (PA). The women are currently ranked 7th in the NCAC and their conference record is 4-12. 
  • Men’s Basketball will play their last home game on Saturday, Feb. 16 against Wittenberg. The men are currently tied to rank 5th in the NCAC and their conference record is 9-8.
  • Both Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving teams are currently competing in the NCAC Championships at Denison University. Competition is from Feb. 13 - 16.  For live stats, click here.
  • Men’s and Women’s lacrosse will kick off their seasons at home on Feb. 23. For the men’s season schedule, click here.  For the women’s season schedule, click here.

Intercultural Forum
The Intercultural Forum’s annual show and dinner will take place Saturday, Feb. 24, 2019. Dinner will be cooked by international students and served from 4:30 – 6 p.m. on the 2nd floor of the Kennedy Center. The show will begin at 6:30 p.m. in Hayden Auditorium.
