Higher Learning Commission Visit 
For the past several years Hiram College has been preparing for the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) accredidation. The Higher Learning Commission accredits all degree-granting post secondary educational institutions in the North Central Region every ten years. Faculty and the leadership team have been working hard to create a self-study that is provided to the visiting team which focuses on categories such as the governing board, student achievement, academics, student experience and fiscal capacity.

Athletics Update
Congratulations to Hiram women’s basketball junior guard TT Wright on becoming the eighth player in program history to score 1,000 career points. Wright scored her 1,000th career point during Hiram’s Friday night game against Wittenberg. The 2019-20 First-Team All-NCAC selection current ranks second in the conference in scoring, averaging 20.6 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.

Become an Alumni Executive Board Member 
The Hiram College Alumni Executive Board (AEB) is now accepting applications for the 2020-2021 membership class.  Nominations will be reviewed by the board and selected members will begin their service in the fall of 2020.

Alumni Directory Project Begins
Hiram College has partnered with Publishing Concepts (PCI) to create a new Alumni Directory. This project helps collect important information allowing us to best communicate with all of our alumni, near and far. 

You may receive a postcard, call, or email from PCI asking you to update or verify your information. Please answer the requests so that your contact information is updated and included in the Alumni Directory. Click the button below for frequently asked questions and to learn more about the directory project.

  • Through Feb. 27: Art Exhibition, “A Sense of Place in a Changing Land” by Arron Foster 
    Located in Gelbke, this exhibitis open to the public from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday. Admission is free.
  • Bread and Soup: A Hiram tradition since 1850, enjoy a simple meal in the Ballroom, Kennedy Center for just $6. Proceeds benefit Campus Day Projects and local food banks.The next dates are Feb. 13 from 5 – 7 p.m, Feb. 20 from 12 – 1 p.m., Feb. 27 from 5 – 7 p.m., and March 5 from 12 – 1 p.m.
  • Feb. 29: The Intercultural Forum Dinner and Show 
    Dinner will begin at 4:30 p.m. with the show immediately following at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are just $15 and can be purchased by emailing Nicole Gatrell at
  • March 25 – 28: Friends of the Library Booksale
    Located on the 2nd floor of the Library in the Pritchard Room, the booksale will be open from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. on March 25-26 and 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. on March 27 - 28. Fill a bag for $1 March 28.
