Showboat Reunion & Hiram Night Out - Cincinnati
Saturday Afternoon Visit to the Majestic
Saturday - May 18th, 2013
2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Did you know that many years ago, Hiram College sent students to live, work and perform on the Showboat Majestic, a floating theater housed inside a river boat on the Ohio River? Come walk down memory lane as we share tales of that time – on the exact same boat! The Showboat Majestic is the last survivor of the singularly American tradition of floating theatres, and is an official registered historical landmark.
"Showboaters" from the Classes of 1948 - 1959 are invited to share their memories of summers on the boat. We will record video on the stage so that your memories will be forever saved in the college archives.
Also enjoy self-guided tours of the boat. All alumni are welcome!
