Come Back for Homecoming on Sept. 17

Don't miss this year's Homecoming festivities as we kick off the football season with the Terriers vs. the Kenyon Lords and Ladies. Many other exciting activities are planned for the day, including: alumni softball reunion, men’s soccer game vs. John Carroll, Big DAWG Beer School hosted by the Gridiron Club and the Alumni hospitality tent at the field. At the hospitality tent, grab a free afternoon snack, an alumni name tag and other Hiram giveaways. The first 100 alumni to visit the tent will receive a free Hiram College t-shirt!

Homecoming 2016

Join us in New York on Sept. 12 

Hiram alumnus Norman Kelker '61 and his wife, Hanna, invite New York City area alumni and friends of Hiram College to join them for a delightful evening of food, drink conversation, and sharing stories from time on Hiram Hill.  President Lori Varlotta will also share the latest Hiram happenings. The event is free but registration is required.

Hiram Alumna Receives Presidential Award
Mentor High School science teacher Amy Roediger '91 was one of 213 U.S. math and science teachers to receive the prestigious Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching.

Free Organ Recital Open to Hiram Community 
The Rev. Norman Paskowski '73 returns to his alma mater on Friday, Sept. 23 to present an organ recital free to the public at 7:30 p.m. at Hayden Auditorium.

Paskowski, who has served as a minister in the Lutheran church in parishes in North Dakota and Michigan, will perform works by Maurice Greene, Friedrick Zipp, Max Reger, Marcel Dupre, Jean Langlais, J.S. Bach, Felix Mendelssohn, Jehan Alain and Cesar Franck.

Election Forum hosted by Hiram College 
Hiram College is hosting a panel discussion, “Views from the Hill,” focusing on various aspects of the 2016 national presidential campaign. The event will be held at the City Club of Cleveland and panelists include Hiram College representatives Douglas M. Brattbo, Ph.D, J.D., Director, Center for Engaged Ethics, and Associate Professor of Political Science; Vivien Sandlund, Ph.D, Professor of History and James Thompson, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Political Science. 2016 Run for Grace and Andy 

The 10th Annual Run for Grace and Andy will take place on Saturday, Oct. 1 in Hiram. The race celebrates the lives of Grace Chambers and Andy Hopkins and their love for Hiram College.

The Garfield Center for Public Leadership prepares students to assume the responsibilities of public leadership by developing expertise in matters of public policy, foreign and domestic, grounded in Hiram’s traditional liberal arts education. Fall Athletics Update 

Fall sports have kicked of their seasons and welcome your support! Come cheer our golf, football, soccer and volleyball teams on to victory by attending a game. All teams’ schedules can be found by clicking here.

  • Softball alumni will gather for a reunion during Homecoming on Sept. 17. Click here to register. 
  • The William H. Hollinger Hall of Fame Brunch & Induction Ceremony takes place during Homecoming on Sept. 17. Join us as we honor former Hiram athletes and friends of the athletic program. Click here to register.
  • The Hiram College alumni football reunion is set for Oct. 8 on the Hiram Campus. To register and learn more, click here.
  • The Hiram Gridiron Club hosts a tailgating tent approximately two hours before the kick-off of every home game. The tent is located at the north end of the field.
